Transformers Tour
The Transformers in this exhibition are artists who enhanced or subverted a recognizable object - adding layers of meaning or complexity to the object or reversing the original intent of that object. Artists Temme Barkin-Leeds (far left), Chakaia Booker, Sonya Clark, Elyse Defoor (far right), Bryant Holsenbeck, Jess Jones, Susan Lenz (left of center), Eddy Lopez, Pam Longobardi (right of center), Amy Orr, Joe Peragine, Karen Searles, Gregor Turk, Naomi Wanjiku Gakunga, and John Westmark have changed the form, appearance, or character of objects that range from a tangible and indestructible massive rubber tire to an ephemeral virtual image.
Guest curator Dot Moye will join us for an exclusive tour of this fiber-rich exhibition, which will start an hour before the gallery opens to the general public. Please join us!
