ClassTest Drive Knitting Techniques - Canceled
with Dawn Laurie
Dates: This is a six-week class meeting from 1-4 pm on the following Saturdays:
Dawn Laurie earned a Certificate in Painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 1987, a BFA from the University of Hartford in 1993, and an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1996. She worked as a fine artist for more than three decades, and now she is translating the colors and textures she combined on canvas into stitch and colorwork patterns in knitting. Dawn has honed her knitting craftsmanship and technique by completing both the Knitting Guild Association’s Master Hand Knitting program and the Craft Yarn Council’s Certified Instructor's Program, and she is currently working toward completion of The Knitting Guild Association's Knitting Instructor Certification. Admiration for traditional knitting methods and history influences Dawn's process and designs.
